HISTORY OF SAMPLING

At Chicago Waldorf School, every senior must write a 20+ page paper on any topic of their choosing, and present it to the entire high school as well as the general public.  I chose to write my essay on the origins of sampling music within the hip-hop genre, as well as the separation between human producers and technology designed for us to create easily. When I first started producing, I found it difficult to write original melodies, so I began sampling songs I liked.
